ERROR code: 0x80070185

When someone else in our OneDrive has downloaded files in the past, I used to be able to click on those same files and they would open without issue. Now, I get the above error code and have to continue to hit "try again." Does anyone have any idea as to why all of the sudden I'm having this problem? Thank you.

    I'm having a problem opening most of my OneDrive files.  On the left side of most file names is a small picture of a cloud.  If I click in these files, a window appears with the following information:

    1 Interrupted Action

    An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file.  If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code code to search for help with this problem.

    Error 0x8007017C: The cloud operation is invalid.

    IN THIS PLACE IS A SMALL PICTURE OF THE FILE AND ITS NAME.

    I just got this out of the blue as well, for a new file I had just added.  I added a new PPT on my desktop machine to a folder in my OneDrive, attempted to open the file from my laptop and got the "cloud operation" error reported above.

    I ended up emailing the document to myself...  (shades of https://xkcd.com/2194/)

    I was able to fix this just by renaming the ROOT folder in the library (ie. append a "1") then undo the change you made.  I was able to successfully open all files without issues after.  The only downside I see to this might be that the metadata on the root folder will change.  Subfolders should not be impacted.  

    Obviously depending on your business this will have to be done on off-peak hours, or scheduled outage.

    deleting the %temp% folder's content worked for me.

    gj justin, fixed issue.  Microsoft has no idea why this is happening or even acknowledges it, nor do they have any idea how to resolve it.
