ERROR code: 0x80070185

When someone else in our OneDrive has downloaded files in the past, I used to be able to click on those same files and they would open without issue. Now, I get the above error code and have to continue to hit "try again." Does anyone have any idea as to why all of the sudden I'm having this problem? Thank you.

Did you ever solve this issue? I'm now getting this message as well.

    Error code: 0X80070185

    I have the following problem:

I have two laptops, an old one and a new one. The new laptop works fine with Onedrive, no problems.

The old laptop is a different story: I reopened the OneDrive folder on the old laptop after a very long time to download photos. The files in this OneDrive folder are on the server and not on my hard drive. During the download I get the error code: 0x80070185. Question: Can OneDrive no longer download my files and have I lost all my files in this OneDrive folder?

I had this problem when I uninstalled OneDrive and then reinstalled it and used the backup folder which was saved on my drive as the new OneDrive folder. I thought it would only update it by the online version. However, I started getting that error code whenever I tried to copy or sometimes open any file. I solved it by doing the following:

    1. Unlink your PC from your OneDrive account by right clicking the OneDrive icon, settings, Unlink this PC.
    2. Delete your OneDrive folder from your PC. Make Sure that you have a copy of your files first or check that the online version is the updated one.
    3. Sign in again and create a new folder for OneDrive.

This solved the issue for me.

I'm still having the issue.  The weird thing is if I'm working remotely I can access with no problem.  If I'm working from my desk I have issues.  I don't get it.
