OneDrive search not working

The search function in the top left doesn't return any results. It used to return results if the given search term appeared in either a file name or the body of a file.

    Hi

    Search from File Explorer on one drive does not find the file I am searching. The file is in the one drive folder as I can see the file if I scroll down the list of files in my folder.

    How can I resolve this issue? my search criteria was 'honeywell' and the file in my directory is named as 'HoneywellPrefixBarcode'.

    Shouldn't I be able to find all documents that contain the word honeywell in the name or in the contents as well?

    THIS WORKED FOR ME ON MY iPHONE:

    I had the same problem on my iPhone. I had the OneDrive app and for some reason the search function stopped. Obviously I knew files existed but the search command returned "no files". I finally solved this - quite easily with hindsight. On the iPhone I went to Settings - OneDrive - the Reset (by sliding Clear Account Settings to the right). Then I deleted the app from the phone and did a forced restart of the iPhone. Then I reinstalled the OneDrive app and signed in again. Problem solved. The search function was working again.

    Onedrive searching function in iPad and iPhone have stopped working around august 2021 for me. Currently not resolve yet.

    Same for me. But I noticed it only affects shared files that I can not search. It affects iOS and online. On iOS I reset everything, uninstalled, reinstalled, did nothing. This is apparently a system error that many users suffer from.I've been sending Microsoft every day for 2 weeks now in iOS that search doesn't work, as a problem and as praise. Now at least Microsoft has responded. Of course, the problem is not solved. If there is a solution, I will post it here.

    The search problem has been going on for years, microsoft will not do anything because all they are interested in is taking your money… they don’t care if their software doesn’t work properly. Like many backstreet firms they are scammers no difference.
