OneDrive search not working

The search function in the top left doesn't return any results. It used to return results if the given search term appeared in either a file name or the body of a file.

    RTipton12 - I did exactly the same thing. I ended up having to go back to dropbox because the search in OneDrive is absolutely useless. I've been monitoring this thread for a while hoping that there would be a fix. I also was in contact with MS support, but they said they needed to elevate the issue, and I haven't heard back from them for months, even after asking about the status.

    I migrated all my Dropbox files and downgraded to their free plan. Just realized I can't do a simple search. I've read through this thread and it has me wondering if the issue has been completely dropped. I really don't want to go back to Dropbox.

    The full text search for OneDrive still does not work reliably, more that 15 months after the original post on this thread.

    I agree. We just signed up for office 365 to work from home because of the virus.

    It just doesn't work searching with the number of files our company has.

    Interestingly, our two administrator accounts can search, just no one else.

    Is this a permissions problem then?

    Microsoft told me they fixed the problem. I tried the Search function and it seems to be working ok now.

    No, this problem is not fixed, it's an embarrassing failure. I'm a software developer, MCT, and have taught Microsoft courses for 25 years, and I'm familiar with the inner workings of Office365 search. Please Microsoft sort this out, I hear complaints about it all the time.
