OneDrive search not working

The search function in the top left doesn't return any results. It used to return results if the given search term appeared in either a file name or the body of a file.

    I sent a support ticket in. The ticket was closed without a reply.

    Then they sent me a survey to rate my support experience.

    I cancelled my subscription and moved to the big G.

    With amazement I have been reading this thread about the Onedrive search not working after more than a year of people complaining. I just switched from Google Drive to Office 365 and I am beginning to dearly regret it. It cost me a lot of time to migrate my files, and now the results the search on Android is returning are very unreliable or non-existing at all. Unbelievable one has to pay for this desaster.

    The conclusion is that I will have to return to Google Drive at least for a part of my files. Thanks MS!

    Fabruary 2021, 

    OneDrive search is still not working.   How can such an essential feature remain unattended for such a long time.  Somebody please get Nadella on the phone. 

    I give them credit for improving in so many other areas,  but for god sake,  this is structural to the core functionality of the rest of the suite. 

    I had to move to Google drive,  ugly but smart ....

    No, it's not. It doesn't work for many many users in both of those versions.

    Is it a sort of joke ? 11 pages about search by tag in Onedrive and U post this **** answer ?

    I fear the lunatics are in charge of the asylum. I mean, the bots are the only thing left in Microsoft Tech support.
