This is absolutely ridiculous. I am moving all my files to competitor. I have been waiting for too long for a fix.

The search function in the top left doesn't return any results. It used to return results if the given search term appeared in either a file name or the body of a file.

In 2023, onedrive still could NOT support simple search.
This make onedrive useless,
Good plan. A re-index feature is clearly needed. In fairness to MS developers, I would have difficulty in answering the question "What were you doing when the issue occured?" which is something I would initially ask when diagnosing a bug in any software that I have developed. I can say when I discovered the issue, but not the series of events that might have caused the index to crash, so diagnosing the cause is complicated.
Can't believe Microsoft hasn't fixed this after all this time and with so many users having the issue. Just throwing mine on the pile. I can see the files I'm searching for in the folder, but the one drive search can't find them. If I search by name, nothing appears. If I search by extension, the results don't include the file I'm looking at in the folder. It took me an hour to find a file I needed by manually searching.
The renaming/move files trick just causes a reindexing. Microsoft, at one point, let you manually do that for outlook. You could just delete the index file and tell it to rebuild the search index. How about adding the same functionality for one drive so everything would get reindexed, not just what we happen to notice is broken. Come on Microsoft. Shameful level of support on this.
Indeed. Nothing more annoying. Can someone from the Microsoft team please respond!
