Powerpoint export to PDF, transparent items flattened.

Hi. I have exactly the same problem.

For examplee, I have a background graphic that has transparency setting 80%. When saving as PDF document, the background looks grey instead of white.

Hi TM,

Thank you for letting us know that the issue is resolved. For everyone else, you can update your MacOS to the latest version which is 10.14.4 to get the fix:

Download macOS Mojave 10.14.4 Update

    Hi Jim,

    Thank you for reminding us. We did sent a private message due to privacy concerns, as the file may contain confidential information. However, as it turns out, this issue is not related to the file at all and can be reproduced, even in the latest version of Insider Fast (16.20).

    This is not related to the picture, and is actually related to the Transparencysettings in the Picture or Texture Fill option. Here are the steps:

    1. Open PowerPoint and create a new presentation
    2. Go to Design > Format Background > Fill > Picture or Texture fill
    3. Insert a picture or select a texture
    4. Set transparency
    5. File > Export > PDF
    6. Open the PDF

    Here is the comparison of the PDF and the original PowerPoint presentation:

    As a result, we have reported this to the related team for further investigation.

    What kind of object is the graphic? Is it a jpeg, tiff, png? Is it in a text box or container?

    If you can share PUBLICLY a file that exhibits the behavior then everyone can try it out.

    Thanks for your reply in Private Message.

    I have done some simple test from my side in PowerPoint 16.18 and Mac OS 10.14.1 and I think I cannot reproduce the issue.

    So I still need to check your file, it seems that you didn't upload the file successfully in PM, please upload the sample file to cloud location and share the link with me in PM again.
