We have an application which was working okay till last month. But after the last windows update our clients are getting issues with access database. access database got corrupted.  We ran compact and repair. But it still getting corrupted again and again.  This issue started right after the window update. clients are on different OS. Like server 2018, server 2012 and windows 10.

Is there anything i have check in new windows update or any other step to prevent database corruption?

Have you employed the DisableLeasing "fix".

Does anyone know if MS is even looking at this to come up with a proper and permanent resolution??

Adding my own experience: I have to R&C the Access back-end about 4 times per day. After 15 years of rock solid that is very hard to take.

Today I found that 1500 records were missing in a table, and the relationship between this table and a child table had been removed. All without R&C logging or showing any information about that. Would have been good to know!

Fortunately I have been taking 15 minute backups for the last several months, so I could go back 2 days and fix it. Took me an hour, all said and done. An hour I could have spent on a billable project. Maybe I should send MSFT the bill Woo-ha-ha-ha <more crazy laughter>

This is really getting beyond a joke now. The issue has been present for months and still no fix except a workaround to disable leasing. I guess this is the type of backup and support that one can expect from a company that has no competition. :(

The Access Dev Team seldom frequents these forum, so I wouldn't hold my breath.  Microsoft doesn't offer one on one support unless you pay.

As for your size issue, perhaps you have a regular corruption issue.  Have you tried importing your tables into a new blank backend file?

Does the files bloat while in use?  Do you use temporary tables?   I a have seen many a database grow considerably (over the limit) while in use.

The other component here is timing.  If everything works one day and then suddenly stops, then it is likely a flawed update (there have been many of those).  So then you get into trying workarounds (DisableLeasing) and rolling back updates until you get it functional again.  It's a total PITA, but that is MS software nowadays.
