Indeed, I also have Malwarebytes installed on both affected machines.

On my laptop OneDrive (which has been working flawlessly for years) now crashes at random. It won't restart. In fact it seems the exe file has disappeared. I need to unistall it and reinstall it. Had to do this three times in the last three days.
There are no error messages - the icon just disappears.
How do I diagnose and cure this?

I'm also experiencing the exact same issue, started 1 month ago. OneDrive (Personal version) works all day with no issues, but at the end of the day when I shut down my laptop, the OneDrive .exe file disappears from the program folder when I reboot the next day. I then have to go through the add/remove process to uninstall OneDrive (which still shows up in my list of installed programs), then reinstall it. It again works flawlessly until I shut down at the end of the day. The problem occurs over WiFi and direct wired connection. I go through this process every morning which is obviously quite annoying.
Running 2017 year Dell laptop with i7 CPU and 16GB RAM, all software is updated:
- Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit, version 1803, OS Build 17134.112
- Office 365 Business
- McAfee Live Safe
- Malwarebytes
- OneDrive Business version is also installed, but never set up and used (this version does not uninstall itself)
I'm running OneDrive Personal using the same account on a desktop without any issues.
This does appear to be an MS issue. Hopefully a solution will be found soon.
Update since my last post:
I forgot to mention I checked the logs in both McAfee and Malwarebytes and there is no indication that either are removing OneDrive program files. I also have these same three programs installed on two other computers (laptop and desktop) running the same Windows 10 Pro versions and I don't have this problem on any of them. While it's possible McAfee or Malwarebytes may be the cause, I do not see any obvious indication of this.
That said, I may have found a temp solution that's been working for me (at least for the past two days).
Now this isn't isn't a true fix, as this program is not meant to function in this manner. Hopefully MS is able to correct this issue in an upcoming update.
Hopefully this workaround helps someone else out. Good luck!

- The last time I went to uninstall and reinstall OneDrive, I did the reinstall using "Install as Administrator".
- Now my .exe is no longer being deleted upon reboot and I can access my OneDrive folder through File Explorer.
- However, OneDrive does not automatically load to the system tray after start up.
- In order for it to show up in my system tray I have to manually open the OneDrive program, then it becomes visible in the system tray. I open the program by typing "OneDrive" in the windows search box and click on it from there.
- After that everything works as it should.

Well it was good while it lasted (4 days). This morning the OneDrive.exe file randomly deleted itself again. So using "Install as Admin" wasn't a good band-aid fix.
However, the last time I reinstalled I saved a copy of my OneDrive.exe. So this time I just restored the .exe file from back up instead of uninstalling and reinstalling everything and it worked just fine.
Still no real solution to this very annoying problem.
Having the exact same problem on two of our machines (that I know of...some folks in my company may have just stopped using it altogether as it's completely unreliable now).
One of the reason I subscribe to Office 365 is for the additional storage which to be fair has been faultless for years.
As with other posters, my One Drive has started to uninstall itself. Really unacceptable in that I use it to sync a folder and also to store back ups other folders.
I have also retained the One Drive .exe file on my computer as that is the only way I can get One Drive to work until I next switch off my PC and it uninstalls itself yet again.
This really is unacceptable, it is part of a paid programme that I expect to work. Whilst I accept that issues do arise when updates take place, you would hope that Microsoft would either apply an immediate fix, or at least acknowledge the problem with a reassurance they are looking into it.
Microsoft, at least acknowledge the problem and assist your customers in getting it working again.
Thank you
