OneDrive crashes and deletes itself

I think you're right Allan.  Laptop has been OK for a week (but it's not used every day).  

Just now my desktop had the same problem.  Identical symptoms - and it can't be Norton WiFi... because it's not installed and it's wired.

So... two separate PCs completely separate hardware, but both running W10 and Office 365.  Same symptoms.  This must be a M$ problem.... I'm not sure trying to clean both my machines up is really going to help....

Any other good ideas out there?

And once again it has removed itself from my desktop machine overnight....

So... I'll now try the approach from Neftali in his 08/06/18 post....

I tried to follow Naftali's advice - but I now have a bigger problem.

Firstly Onedrive crashed again on laptop.  so I tried to follow the instructions here.

Step 2 - taskkill failed -and came back with Onedrive.exe not found.  Which is not surprising since the exe file has always been deleted in this problem.

I then did the uninstall step - which completed silently (or did nothing).

I then backed up and then made the registry changes -and then rebooted.

Restarted the PC.

Failed then to reinstall onedrive because the machine said that a newer version is installed.

So... now I have a machine without onedrive.. and I cannot reinstall it.

I restored the registry -but this didn't help.

If I try to uninstall from the control panel it just fails to do so with no error message.

So... what do I do now?

I have managed to reinstall OneDrive.... but why does it keep deleting itself??

I'm also experiencing the exact same issue, started 1 month ago. OneDrive (Personal version) works all day with no issues, but at the end of the day when I shut down my laptop, the OneDrive .exe file disappears from the program folder when I reboot the next day. I then have to go through the add/remove process to uninstall OneDrive (which still shows up in my list of installed programs), then reinstall it. It again works flawlessly until I shut down at the end of the day. The problem occurs over WiFi and direct wired connection. I go through this process every morning which is obviously quite annoying.

Running 2017 year Dell laptop with i7 CPU and 16GB RAM, all software is updated:

• Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit, version 1803, OS Build 17134.112
• Office 365 Business
• McAfee Live Safe
• Malwarebytes
• OneDrive Business version is also installed, but never set up and used (this version does not uninstall itself)

I'm running OneDrive Personal using the same account on a desktop without any issues.

This does appear to be an MS issue. Hopefully a solution will be found soon.
