I purchased Microsoft Office 2011 along with the purchase of my MacBook. I did an upgrade yesterday only to find that Office 2011 will only run on 32 bit. The upgrade now requires Microsoft Office to run on 64bit. I read in many places that Microsoft has no intentions of supporting this upgrade so therefore, I can no longer safely use this software, that I purchased, on my mac. Microsoft is forcing me to purchase something I have already purchased earlier. I do not care if there are newer versions of Microsoft Office. I purchased Office 2011 and Microsoft should still honor that purchase by providing the 64bit upgrade. I contacted support thru their chat box and was only directed to this site where I can look up or post my own questions. Really great customer support Microsoft! Thank-you! NOT. I wish to have a refund or a product key to another Microsoft Office that will run on Mac at 64bit. I'll be holding my breath awaiting even more outstanding customer service.

None of the scenarios you described can be done re-using your Office 2011 product key. You will need a new, never been used product key for each scenario you described.

I am having a problem reinitializing my Office Mac 2011. My computer (Mac Pro Early 2008) has died, so I have transferred (or cloned) my drives to a newer working Mac Pro (Mid 2010). This is asking to again input the serial number, which I have, but it fails to complete the initialization. My other software has transferred over fine, only Office 2011 is not initializing. Any suggestions as to how I can get 2011 initialized and up and running again?
Even better yet, is it possible for me to uninstall Office from this drive so I can then instead install it on the newer SSD drive on the computer running MacOS El Capitan? If I am not able to initialize it, what is the appropriate method to uninstall it so it releases the license? My Office 2011 came with a license allowing me to install it on 2 computers, I also have it installed on my laptop.

Your old Excel workbooks will work fine in the latest version of Office unless they are really old (say from before 2004). If you have extremely old workbooks, use File > Save As and choose to save in .xlsx in your old version of Excel before moving to the new one.
I'm a bit confused. Are you advocating keeping all three Offices, or is 2016 a misprint?

To be completely thorough, old versions of Office came with a variety of templates. You can keep them and most will still work in the latest version of Office, although most seem dated looking to me now. If you made custom templates or stored Macros in your Normal.dot template, keep those templates and your Normal.dot file so you can move them to the new Normal template using the Organizer tool.
Once you have successfully imported all your old mail and contacts and you are satisfied you have everything you need, you can safely remove all old versions of Office and the Microsoft User Data file in your documents folder.
