How do I stay signed in?

I sign into Office 365 on my browser (on my Mac). I used to be able to choose to stay signed in, but something happened and now I get automatically signed out every night.

And yes, one time I chose the "Don't show this message any more" option, but I did NOT turn off the option to stay signed in.... only the message that gave me the option. Now I cannot find any way/button to "Stay Signed In" any more. How do I change this back? I'm tired of signing back in every morning.

I am now up and running on O365 using Sharepoint a lot.  But I must use Chrome due to another app that links to Sharepoint that does not work correctly in Edge.  Also Chrome let's me have my favorites synced across machines while Edge does not if you are part of a domain (Called MS support and got that answer).

So... This having to repeatedly sign-in to O365 in Chrome is so crazy.  I am surprised nothing has shown up on this post since Jan 19!

This suggested solution assumes that you have a work or school account. I have a "personal" Office 365 account and I'm having the same logout problems. I can check the box that says 'keep me signed in', but after a period of time (hours or next day), I have to sign in again to use any of the web-based services (mail, calendar, onedrive, etc.). The odd thing is that the background OneDrive file sync remains connected.

I'm a Mac user, and I've been struggling with the same issue. Since the background syncing was still working, my initial workaround was to always open files from my OneDrive folder on my local hard drive and let the background syncing do its thing. However, after reading all of the posts on this thread, I did the following:

    1. Using Safari I went to onedrive.live.com
    2. I signed out of my account
    3. I signed back in and clicked the box "Keep me signed in" on the password dialog box

For a couple days it seemed like everything was back to the way it used to be...no more sign in requests and all my files listed in the online location of the File Open... dialog box. I should mention that I had the Excel application open in the background during those two days. But at some point Excel got the twirling beach ball and stopped responding, as it frequently does. After doing a force quit of Excel, my online files disappeared again in the File Open... dialog box with the "Refreshing..." message appearing at the bottom of the dialog box. Of course, it never refreshes no matter how long I wait.

    Hi Everyone,

This is an old post. If you are getting the issue, I'll suggest you post a new thread in our forum for us to troubleshoot the issue.

    Regards,

    Neha

    Neha,

I think your suggestion to start a new thread is insulting to your customers who continue to struggle with an obvious software bug. I'm a Mac user with the most recent operating system (macOS Mojave version 10.14.3) and the most recent version of Excel for Mac (version 16.23). I have a personal subscription to Office 365. I don't wish to be rude, but please work with your team to resolve this ongoing software issue.

    Thank you,

    Bob
