This suggested solution assumes that you have a work or school account. I have a "personal" Office 365 account and I'm having the same logout problems. I can check the box that says 'keep me signed in',
but after a period of time (hours or next day), I have to sign in again to use any of the web-based services (mail, calendar, onedrive, etc.). The odd thing is that the background OneDrive file sync remains connected.
I'm a Mac user, and I've been struggling with the same issue. Since the background syncing was still working, my initial workaround was to always open files from my OneDrive folder on my local hard drive and let the background syncing do its thing. However,
after reading all of the posts on this thread, I did the following:
- Using Safari I went to onedrive.live.com
- I signed out of my account
- I signed back in and clicked the box "Keep me signed in" on the password dialog box
For a couple days it seemed like everything was back to the way it used to be...no more sign in requests and all my files listed in the online location of the File Open... dialog box. I should mention that I had the Excel application open in the background
during those two days. But at some point Excel got the twirling beach ball and stopped responding, as it frequently does. After doing a force quit of Excel, my online files disappeared again in the File Open... dialog box with the "Refreshing..." message appearing
at the bottom of the dialog box. Of course, it never refreshes no matter how long I wait.
