Hi, never really posted in one of these things before I this is sort of an emergency, I have an important document due in a few days for uni and all was going good until I encounter the error 'the name in the end tag of the element must match the element type in the start tag' which is preventing me from opening my document.
Naturally when I encounter this error I googled and attempted many fixes and have been attempting to edit the document.xml file for around 4 hours now to no avail.
I would greatly appreciate some help in how to overcome this error, I've linked a google drive folder with both the entire word document as a .rar file and the document.xml file as well as a screenshot of the error below.
I really don't know how to use this site but any help would be appreciated tremendously due to the importance of me resolving this error quickly.
Thanks in advnaced for any help anyone can offer
:)

Hello,
I am having a similar issue and cannot figure out how to fix my file. I've uploaded it here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AjwW6BCjYtkohH6VEl8CvWTRoKrc?e=f86y0h
Is anyone able to help me?
Thank you!
The error in your document was caused by the following "compound image"
I use the term "compound image" for an image that is made up of a number of graphic elements, laid on top of a base image.
I recommend that such images be compiled in a separate document and then a screen capture utility such as Snagit from www.techsmith.com be used to take a screen capture of the image that can then be inserted into the document so that its layout can be set to In line with text
The separate document should be retained so that the image can be modified if necessary and the process repeated.
A repaired and modified (as above) copy of your document has been uploaded to the following folder of my OneDrive
https://1drv.ms/f/s!AmuIXmFDy-1azRlX2JBMPPp_Nb1x
or
Let me know when you have retrieved it so that I can delete it from that folder.
I have repaired and returned the document that you sent to me.
While Stefan has repaired your document, corruption such as that in the document will be far less likely to occur if all images in the document are inserted with their layout set so that they are In-line with Text.
In the case of your document that can be done by using a three column table as shown below
I will send an email to you with a copy of the document that has been modified in that way.
A recovered version of the file can be downloaded from the following shared folder (I prefixed the file name with "recovered)":

Respond here to let me know that you have downloaded the document successfully.
