My frequent sites never changes.  It is only showing 3 sites and they are sites I haven't visited in several months.  How do I get this to update with actual frequently visited sites?

Hi All,

Considering this thread has aged, it may be difficult for members and us to follow up separately. Besides, the original poster Stacey has resolved the issue, and we have also received feedback from other members that the issue has been resolved itself. This thread will be closed from further posting for affected users to easily identify the information since there may be different root causes for different tenants.

You can follow the steps I mentioned in the summary above to try troubleshooting the issue.

  1. Ensure you have deleted the sites. If you are an admin in the tenant, please try removing the deleted site via Remove-SPODeletedSite command manually.
  2. After you manually delete the deleted sites, please wait for 30 days and check if the situation remains.

If the issue persists, please feel free to post a new thread in this forum, we are more than willing to help you resolve it separately.

We appreciate your understanding.

Regards,

Yoga

"We understand there are some similar threads about the same issue and sorry for the inconvenience in your daily work with SharePoint home page. "

There are more than "some" similar threads. I've been doing this long enough to know when there's a systemwide issue - and this is one without doubt.

"However, some cases are in another situation such as the deleted site is locked. The solution for that case is to unlock and then remove the site. "

That example is immaterial - until the issue with recent data showing up properly is fixed, it doesn't matter if deleted sites do or don't disappear. The data is wrong for everyone, so that needs to be fixed first. Only then does it make sense to look into other problems like deleted sites.
