Sharepoint online frequent sites

My frequent sites never changes. It is only showing 3 sites and they are sites I haven't visited in several months. How do I get this to update with actual frequently visited sites?

Hi All,

Considering this thread has aged, it may be difficult for members and us to follow up separately. Besides, the original poster Stacey has resolved the issue, and we have also received feedback from other members that the issue has been resolved itself. This thread will be closed from further posting for affected users to easily identify the information since there may be different root causes for different tenants.

You can follow the steps I mentioned in the summary above to try troubleshooting the issue.

Ensure you have deleted the sites. If you are an admin in the tenant, please try removing the deleted site via Remove-SPODeletedSite command manually.
After you manually delete the deleted sites, please wait for 30 days and check if the situation remains.

If the issue persists, please feel free to post a new thread in this forum, we are more than willing to help you resolve it separately.

Forget what I said before....I finally figured it out! Since the frequent sites I see are from visits made 4 months ago, the only issue is the word "FREQUENT". If they change that to: "SITES VISITED IN THE LAST SAY, 4 MONTHS TO A YEAR", all is well! Sheer genius Msft!! Just got to change a word or two.

I am the admin for our tenant and the only SharePoint user at this time (I am just migrating). I have created several test sites/teams/groups and like I said 3 of them show up on the Frequent Sites home page but it never changes. I do not use Delve so there are no files open there, I am able to access all three of the sites that are listed so they are not deleted. I tried searching the audit logs for activity on the 3 listed sites but there hasn't been any recent activity. I am currently working on different Powerapps within other sites and using them every day and they never show up in the Frequent Sites home page. They do show up under Following in the quick launch so I am able to access them that way quickly but the Recent list in the quick launch just show the same 3 sites as the home page...
