My frequent sites never changes.  It is only showing 3 sites and they are sites I haven't visited in several months.  How do I get this to update with actual frequently visited sites?

Hi All,

Considering this thread has aged, it may be difficult for members and us to follow up separately. Besides, the original poster Stacey has resolved the issue, and we have also received feedback from other members that the issue has been resolved itself. This thread will be closed from further posting for affected users to easily identify the information since there may be different root causes for different tenants.

You can follow the steps I mentioned in the summary above to try troubleshooting the issue.

  1. Ensure you have deleted the sites. If you are an admin in the tenant, please try removing the deleted site via Remove-SPODeletedSite command manually.
  2. After you manually delete the deleted sites, please wait for 30 days and check if the situation remains.

If the issue persists, please feel free to post a new thread in this forum, we are more than willing to help you resolve it separately.

We appreciate your understanding.

Regards,

Yoga

Hi All,

Considering this thread has aged, I would like to post a summary of the issue here so that other community members can easily see the information.

Issue description:

Deleted sites still display in Frequent sites list on the SharePoint home page.

Additional information:

We would like to suggest you follow the steps below to try troubleshooting the issue:

  1. Ensure you have deleted the sites. If you are an admin in the tenant, please try removing the deleted site via Remove-SPODeletedSite command manually.
  2. After you manually delete the deleted sites, please wait for 30 days and check if the situation remains.

Suggestion:

If the issue persists after you manually delete the sites for 30 days, since there may be different root causes for different tenants, please feel free to post back and let us know. We will collect the related tenant information, so that we can check more details and help you resolve the issue separately.

Fine - where's the roll out schedule? Sorry but something as serious as this would be detailed by a competent company and frankly I've been burnt too many times before by Msft's broken promises to believe what they say without a specific, concrete plan provided to users.

    Hi webbrewers3,

    Thanks for your feedback.

As I mentioned above, we are keeping improving our product and I have get updated replies from different tenants that the issue is solved in their tenants from the backend. If there are still some users encountering the situation, which may be a specific issue in the exact tenant. In this case, we are more than willing to help collect users' tenant information and help them resolve it from the backend.

    Regards,

    Yoga

This isn't something that needs to be "implemented for affected tenants"  - EVERY tenant was affected. It was acknowledged as a system wide bug and the fix would be deployed to data centers so the question is: when? Where's the schedule of the roll out?
