Microsoft Assure - Answer Desk

Please will somebody, anybody, tell me how to get help from or in contact with Microsoft Assure Answer Desk.

I have a subscription to Assure (renewed in May 2017) which I pay for.

I now need help from Microsoft with some software issues but have discovered that I have no way of contacting Assure to get the help that I need.

I have been round and round the Microsoft website but with no success at all.

This seems like another thing that Microsoft is keen to take your money but reluctant to provide the service for which you have paid.

Any help appreciated.

    Hi GL,

I have no association with MS. Your summary is very good. If you follow all of the replies in this thread you will see that in USA at least you have a phone number to use. So far for me in Australia I have not found one but I have been in hospital for the last week. I have only used Assure once and have not been able to contact them directly. In the thread you will see that when you open a chat box you are supposed to state that you are a Assure client and give them your email address, then you are somehow directed to Assure. Is it worth it? For me not really. Best of luck with you search.

I have been following a lot of the posts regarding problems with the Assure Support Plan and have noticed your replies.  I'm trying to decide if I should sign up or not.  It seems there are a lot of complaints especially about getting help, yet you seem to always have a positive answer.  So a couple of questions.  Are you associated in anyway with Microsoft, i.e. an employee?  Do you recommend the Assure Support Plan and are you using it yourself?  It is very hard to get any information on exactly what the plan is, the most information I found on Microsoft website is a bullet point page that doesnt give much information, here is the website:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/answerdesk/purchase?oguid=272b5c0a-6795-4343-9da9-5e2506d06285&aid=844428419967142&cid=SoftwareSupport\_Assure\_CP1  The information is very limited and that concerns me.  Frankly when I do a Google search or ask for reviews, all I get are complaints.  I don't understand why Microsoft is not giving more information, especially in comparison to the other service I'm looking at, Geek Squad.  It is especially hard to find a place to sign up on the Microsoft website, the only thing I have found is the above link.  I know there are some false Assure plans out there, is the link above the correct one.  In some ways it sounds like I'm answering my own question, don't do this!  But I would like your perspective.  Thank you for your time, I appreciate any assistance you can offer.

    Hi,

It couldn't hurt to have the Geek Squad take a look.  I've never had that happen. Or, you can keep calling Assure until someone actually solves the problem.

I have a subscription to Carbonite in case my computer has dire problems and I can't use it.

Does your response mean your not aware of Azure?  I'm being charged and now awaiting renewal for Microsoft Assure and Azure.  I don't know anything about either.

    Do you mean "Microsoft Azure"?

(Perhaps that is why you could not find it? heh)
