Microsoft Assure - Answer Desk

Please will somebody, anybody, tell me how to get help from or in contact with Microsoft Assure Answer Desk.

I have a subscription to Assure (renewed in May 2017) which I pay for.

I now need help from Microsoft with some software issues but have discovered that I have no way of contacting Assure to get the help that I need.

I have been round and round the Microsoft website but with no success at all.

This seems like another thing that Microsoft is keen to take your money but reluctant to provide the service for which you have paid.

Any help appreciated.

I'm getting charged for a subscription that I don't recall signing up for.

Try finding someone to discuss that with or request a refund/cancellation.

    Fat chance online

Here is the answer that I found that works for me. However, it is not without difficulties like today when my call was dropped 3 times and the callback they promise never came.

I agree with everyone here, that when you pay a premium for support there should be a phone number and support staff to handle calls from subscribers instead of just being thrown into the general queue.

One needs to start at the address below. then you will need to work your way through the virtual assistant. I have found if you consistantly answer no to the question "does this answer your question" you will end up at a place to enter your phone # and have tech call you back or you can schedule a call for a later date.

Good luck, I hope it doesn't change before I need it again. Probably after the next automatic update which is where most of the trouble starts.

While I somewhat agree witb the sentiment, here is what I see:

Someone paying for a service before knowing everything about it.

It's a remote assistance service - before one pays for it, you'd hope they researched it and had all the ways to contact said service readily accessible instead of waiting until AFTER they paid to find out more.

I also still say there is likely better forms of support out there for most people who decide to go this route for 'convenience', I suppose.
