Microsoft Assure - Answer Desk

Easier than?

A Google search for :

Microsoft USA support telephone number

(You can drop the USA as well)

Skip the results that are ads (they are not Microsoft results, may have "i" in the top right you can hover over and see "why these ads"..) and the very first result is that phone number.

If you utilize BING (drop the USA even, although results are the same) to do the same search

https://www.bing.com/search?q=microsoft+support+telephone+number

The results are even more obvious with that same number...

... but giving hours, a Canadian number and pointing out that it is xx-MICROSOFT (essentially, we all know that is too many numbers.)

In fact, probably one of the better places for contact information for Microsoft is actually:

Unfortunately, after all that, that really has nothing to do with the entirety of this conversation concerning how to contact assistance for the fee-based "Microsoft Assure" program.  :-)

Yes - it is incredibly frustrating to get to Microsoft.  Makes me want to change to Apple.  You can call them - one phone number and get help fairly quickly.  After about 30 minutes of doing what you have done, I found an excellent person on the Microsoft support chat - she actually called me and gave me a phone number to call for support.  Don't put a 1 in front of the 800 or you get some funky other organization.  I literally got transferred 4 times to get to the right department buy FINALLY go the help I needed.  Was trying to transfer a PowerPoint presentation from Dell laptop to an ipad.  The support number is xx.

Honestly, Microsoft needs to make this easier.  Hope this helps!

This really is not good enough. I pay £85.00 per annually in order to have access to Microsoft Help Desk to sort out issues that I'm unable to resolve myself. 

The very least Microsoft can do is provide a page with the relevant phone numbers on it, that comes up when you search the Microsoft website. 

Or is this a way of Microsoft self-limiting the volume of calls they receive? 

I have mentioned this to every Helpdesk staff member who I have ever spoken to, and they have promised to feed this information back.

Excellent idea. However, I was able to contact Answer Desk, which has greatly abbreviated hours, even though the website advertises 24/7 help available. I live in California, where the justice system leaves much to be desired, so I don't know if the Attorney General would do anything for me. But, others in other states may be more responsive.

why not get everyone we know to sign a petition to Microsoft? Good luck in finding a email address to send it to.
