Spell Check not working in Word 365 after automatic update

I cannot get spell check to check my document.  Word no longer highlights potential issues, and when I run the spellcheck, even when I KNOW there are misspelled words, spell check completes without prompting me for any problematic words or phrases.  (the update also wiped out all of my macros, for the second time this week!)  

I have checked the proofing options, and everything appears to be as I want it.

    Understood.  But how do we relay this very serious bug due to an obviously unbeta tested update of the Editor to Microsoft and get information on what the ETA is on fixing it?  How doe we find out that Microsoft is even acknowledging the problem?  Is there a mechanism to submit bug information and receive a response?  Is there another forum we should use?  Thanks!

    Any update as to whether or not that will be a fix coming soon.  For the most part - except for very few exceptions - grammar checker does not work at all.  After the update to the new so-called 'improved' Editor Grammar checker is not working and Spell Check only works if you have "check spelling as you type".  If not, that the "Check Document" comes up with zero errors.  This is a really big issue that needs to be fixed?  ASAP.

    Since users here are volunteers (with very few exceptions), it would actually be fair to say that Microsoft almost never "admits" bugs in this forum.

    That said, as an MVP, I'm happy to report suspected bugs via "MVP channels," but I need steps to reproduce them consistently. Therefore, the process is often (painfully) long.

    Hello Renie,

    After the last MS Word update (wherein Microsoft redesigned the Check Document editor):

    • My grammar checker works sporadically.
    • My spellchecker does not work at all.

    Is there any way to go back to the previous built, before the update?
