Word App not uploading to Dropbox

I am currently having some issues between dropbox and the Word app on my iPad. I will be typing in a document in the Word app and suddenly get an error message saying the app has saved my changes but can't upload them to Dropbox. When I check, the WiFi signal is strong and there is no obvious connection problem. In the directory the file shows "Upload Pending" under it and has an exclaimation point with a triangle around it. This happens multiple times daily, and happens to files in multiple folders. I have to save the file again with a new file name each time it happens because it won't over-write or delete the old file. Once the new file is saved, the old file never syncs and shows no yellow triange or green check icon. If I try to delete the old file I get an error message saying that the file cannot be deleted now and to try again later.  I have tried deleting and re-installing both apps multiple times and restarting device to no avail. I checked Dropbox trouble shooting and they said it was a Microsoft problem, not their end. I use these programs to take, save, and organize my class notes so getting this fixed is vital with exams coming up...thanks for your help.

I have the same problem - there’s no user solution that I can find.  Microsoft needs to fix this quickly, it’s been a major work flow disruption.

Same problem. Reboot, re-installs, no help.

    Brand new Ipad Pro 12.9”

    Word 2.12, updated 4/10/2018

    iOS 11.3

Also happening with Excel 2.12 updated 4/10/2018 (those are the only two Office products I use this way)

Making BOTH companies look quite bad so really in your interest to work together.  I am not going to switch to OneDrive because of this — I’d sooner live without, so if that’s the plan it’s not working. Please help! I used these apps/services seamlessly with NO PROBLEM before on other ipads in past.

I have asked a question about this to the Office team and I have been informed that a bug report has been filed and that the bug is being investigated.

As a moderator for Microsoft are you able to advise whether or not the app development team is even looking at this situation and trying to resolve it?  I think that the number of current replies to this question deem it a widespread problem that is affecting many users.  Can you please assist?

I am having the same problem too on my iPad pro it’s been happening for a few months across all the microsoft apps when trying to save to dopbox, like other It’s very annoying as you have to resave and rename the document each time and then I can get a few minutes into working in that document and the error occurs again.

Like others I don’t want to work in One Drive as I have a dropbox business account and dont want more than 1 cloud storage system. Is this just a way mircosoft are forcing people to use their OneDrive product?
