Office 365 cloud features do not work when using a privacy VPN

Hi all,

Came across the thread as I was having the same issue with NordVPN: Office365 wouldn't recognise it was connected to the internet when the VPN was active, and OneDrive wouldn't sync either. Tried the TCP/CyberSec thing and no luck for me.

Then I came across this article:

which seems to have fixed it for me.

BUT...I have a question as to whether there are any security issues or similar in using this solution?

And yet, you have done exactly that. I believe that is called delicious irony. Why is it acceptable for someone to criticise those who have made honest decent decisions but it not acceptable for me to criticise them for criticising others.

Yes of course they do Sir. Because all the time, people are buying VPNs, finding problems then coming to this site for help, not snarky comments. 

If ur buying a VPN there is no way on earth you woukd worry about whether it will work with One Drive (or anything else). Why would snyone. Why would anyone but an IT expert know that (and we know that even some of them have been caught out!)

People have slready bought their VPN. Let’s just try to help them indtead of giving thrm a hard time

   Sorry about the delay, I've been quite busy. Answers to your questions below:

1. No, other users do not use personal VPNs to my knowledge, so they have no issues. Sorry if I wasn't completely clear in my original post, the issue only happens when I have the personal VPN active, if I turn it off all features work normally. Also, the issue happens both at the office and at home.
2. I can log on to the portal, I can connect to Exchange, looks like OneNote can sync notes and the OneDrive app works. A consistent example of something that doesn't work is when I try to search for templates or clip art online from one of the programs. Here are some screenshots:

3. As I mentioned before is not the "office" VPN, but a personal privacy VPN.

4. 5. OneDrive for Business I assume since it is the account with my Office 365 work subscription... Here's what happens when I click on Save As and select the "OneDrive - [My company name]" option (instead of a regular folder):
