Adding more Labels in Planner

Does anyone know how to add more labels to tasks in Planner? I require more than the six provider.

    Agree! The current implementation of labels, not only the limit of 6, is not sufficient to organise work effectively. It's relatively easy to see how Asana (tags) or Trello (labels) did it. In the planner board view the labels are useless IMHO. Only when a card is open you see what is written on it.

    As little as it looks, this is an important factor to convince die-hard Asana or Trello users to use a solution that integrates otherwise so well with the MS ecosystem in our company.

    I understand there might be a road-map for this product and it took also time until Asana and Trello offered it but MS should learn from them and listen to the users.

    BTW: Can we have user defined fields as in ASANA, please!

    Hello, is it possible to provide an answer to this question please? 3 years people from lots of paying companies ask to make it possible to add more labels in order to compete with other similar (and better) planning software on the market. 

    Can you (microsoft) provide a decent answer on this question? Or even better: don't answer and just update the tool with this functionality ! 

    Just curious how long it will take an answer will be provided which says more then 'we can not do that' (which thus means: we do not want to do that…). Let's hope for the option to add more (like 99, or 999) labels to be operational in the year 2020 … hello microsoft? Still alive?

    I also think there needs to be more labels to properly sort and manage a project. So +1.
