Outlook on android - receiving notifications, but emails don't show in inbox.

I use outlook for android (Motorola Moto G running Android 5.1) and it worked great until a couple of days ago. Now I get notifications of new emails, but the messages don't show up in my inbox. If I click a notification to try and read the email, it says 'Couldn't open message', and takes me back to my inbox, which shows only old messages.

Please help!

I dont even have/use MS authenticator. So for me and some of the other comments this is not the cause.

    Samsung Galaxy S9+, Android 9.0. It's April 4, 2019 and the problem still exists. Microsoft doesn't give a ****.

I currently have a high level support agent working with me to find a solution, unfortunately I dontd think MS can monitor all these threads.

Same issue for me. After a few years of this problem you just have to assume that microsoft either does not care or is unable to fix this issue.

I uninstalled Authenticator and it makes no difference. All other devices are fine. Very amateur response from a 'professional' corporation isn't it!
