Outlook on android - receiving notifications, but emails don't show in inbox.

I use outlook for android (Motorola Moto G running Android 5.1) and it worked great until a couple of days ago. Now I get notifications of new emails, but the messages don't show up in my inbox. If I click a notification to try and read the email, it says 'Couldn't open message', and takes me back to my inbox, which shows only old messages.

Please help!

No changes, and troubleshooting was already described.

A reinstall again fixed it for a few hours before the behavior returned. As another poster said, reinstalling several times a day is not an acceptable solution.

For the sake of feedback, I'm having the exact same issue on a Pixel XL. Continual reinstallation is not an option.

I'm having the same issue, along with Outlook suddenly deciding not to send emails. This is occurring specifically on an Android device.

I've already done an account removal and reset. That fixed the problem for perhaps a few hours and then Outlook went back to the same ridiculous behavior. This is a problem, as I now cannot view or send emails from my phone.

    Hi Kitty,

To better assist you with your concern, have you tried to remove your account and add it again? If not, kindly see steps below:

    1. Go to Settings, then select the account you want to delete.
    2. Select Remove Account.
    3. Select From Device, (removes the account, but keeps the data) or From Device & Remote Data, (removes the account and all the information related to that account).
    4. Add the account again.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards.
