Outlook on android - receiving notifications, but emails don't show in inbox.

I use outlook for android (Motorola Moto G running Android 5.1) and it worked great until a couple of days ago. Now I get notifications of new emails, but the messages don't show up in my inbox. If I click a notification to try and read the email, it says 'Couldn't open message', and takes me back to my inbox, which shows only old messages.

Please help!

How exactly are you disabling power saving only for Outlook? Wanting to know for 2 reasons: 1. It may not have the same success for fixing the outlook issue as disabling power saving altogether, and 2. Cuz i want to try it but cant figure it out. (I dont see an option to turn off power saver for specific apps and i am assuming you are not simply turning off optimization for outlook, because that's sort of related but different)

I'm having the same problem, outlook on android on two phones. Tried disabling power saving for the outlook app, seemed to work for a few days but then same problem. Disabled IPV6 on Lan side of my sky router, rebooted and  it pick up the new emails straight away. I see how  it goes but looks good at the moment, I assume another bug in the outlook client that Microsoft will not believe is happening.

I am currently having the same issue with an Iphone. Is anyone else with an Iphone having similar issues?

I continue to reset the app and it will work for a while, but then the app stops working again. The frequency of which it occurs is also increasing.  Any solutions?

I fixed my problem by deleting and reloading the app but the key was to restart the phone as well. There must have been some bug. The solution was recommended to me by my IT, they must have known about this.

I recently switched to outlook on android, because my workplace now uses office 365. It worked for 2,3 days and since then I have the exact same issue: Getting Notifications about emails, but inbox stays empty. This is really bad since I am going on vacation soon and need that access.

Please fix this on software level. I cannot switch to a different mail app, because this one is forced by company.

FYI: This issue only happens to the Office 365 business account. My gmail and self hosted private account do work as expected.
