Unable to delete Word file in an Android Device

I am trying to delete a file but Word (android GalaxyNote5) is saying I do not have permission to delete

    Mine are files downloaded from the internet and others which were attached to emails, they seem to be being handled by One Drive, Personal or something like that. Sorry I am not technical. But when I looked in my One Drive account they were not there. They are word documents which word says I do not have permission to delete.

    I finally found I can delete them in file manager.

    Sorry I so not know the full path of the files as I have deleted them now.

    You might have a separate issue (not the widely discussed here).

    The problem here was about files attached to emails or opened directly from browsers or others like that. Is that your case or not? What was the full path to the files you deleted? As we might be talking about different issues.

    It IS still a problem. And there is not a single file explorer that will help you to delete those files, as long as your phone is not rooted (and if it is rooted, then you have other problems).

    I know this is a 2017 thread but still it is impossible to delete these files individually as far as I can see it is still a problem in 2019 see my post above
