Change the sharepoint.aspx page

If you click the "sharepoint" tile in the app launcher, you are now taken to  _layouts/15/sharepoint.aspx.

This page is an embarassment so how do I edit/change it?

The "you visited" information shown is rubbish - it's completely inaccurate, out of date and of no use whatsoever to a user. Where is the data pulled from and why does Msft think anyone would want to see this?

We understand admins may have requirements to custom the SharePoint home page or directly change it to the page you want. As we discussed above, the best way to influence our products and services is to submit your feedback via SharePoint Online Uservoice. It will let our related team hear your voice. Many good features are added from customers' good suggestions.

As a workaround, you may create a custom tile. So, users can directly access the SharePoint Online page which is customized by you.

    NO - this isn't a local issue - it affects everybody as is obvious from this and many other threads. Pretending it's not an issue is not going to get it fixed. Escalate it and provide us with a meaningful response which at this point means telling us:

    When  it will be fixed

    Or

    When it will be removed

    I have no interest in any other responses.

    I happened to wander by the sharepoint.aspx page again today - my goodness, frequent sites now shows sites I have no access to and have never visited while sites i visit everyday are nowhere to be found. This is comical.

    I now use the google homepage to get back to frequent SP sites because it shows, well, FREQUENT sites...how come google gets this right, and Msft fails miserably with no explanation why?

    And still no answer to my questions.

    We understand your concern regarding the frequent sites on sharepoint.aspx and would try everything we can to assist you further. We are ready to involve more resources to do further investigation on this request however the fiddler log and tenant info are requested by the backend team so that they can check the needed server logs when investigating the behavior you have experienced. We appreciate your understanding and would like to have your kind assistance providing the needed details to move forward.

    So this problem still isn't fixed. We deleted a group, since we actually only needed a distribution list and set up a new Sharepoint page with the same name as the old group. Now everyone sees the old deleted group page AND a new page with the same name. As you can imagine, this is confusing users. 

    Why are deleted (group) pages still visible under 'Recent?' This issue is more than three months old now. Why won't anyone from Microsoft admit that there's something wrong with the layouts page??
