Office365 won't start.
Made another call to MS Support and after another chat with another person - again first disbelieving, as the user of course is always wrong - got him to check with other colleagues and verifying in the lab I actually did get help.
I had to completely de-install Office 365 (second time today) and the invoke tool O15CTRremovefrom here: http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9815935
After running O15CTRremove re-install Office 365 from scratch and hey presto it finally worked. For those who can read a bit in German here is the webpage with step-by-step instructions:
Well, it just took me one day and so that others in a similar situation may save a bit of time I thought I share the findings with you.
Same here in Germany.
They kept me on the phone for 55 mins, transferred me between five different departments, could not find my Microsoft Account, saying it does not exist, while they are deducting monthly by monthly the license fees from (that works well enough...). And on the last transfer stop, while I was asking for the name of the support person for my log, guess what:
HE HUNG UP ON ME.
It's about time to switch- the City of Munich (remarkably the HQ of Microsoft in Germany) switch to OpenOffice some time ago. That was a field day for the press. I believe by now, pressure has been growing, so that the City renewed their license with Microsoft. We will have to lobby hard, but bit by bit, the plain and simple truth will be emerge: Microsoft's days are numbered.
Step three did the trick, thanks. What took Microsoft all day NOT to fix, was sorted with this approach. Microsoft need to get some customer service training and not leave customers hanging on the line for over an hour and 15 minutes!
