Stop the "don't lose access to your account" nonsense.

I'm prevented from logging in by a "set it up now" button on the generic log in page (using IE10). Like any security conscious enterprise, my company manages my passwords and isn't interested in this "nanny state" option. How do I bypass it?

    Is there any resolution to this annoying message for Global admins?  We manage our password in our domain, this prompt is just an annoyance that was recently introduced, and only seems to affect global admins in the admin portal.  We have multi factor authentication turned off.  How do I get rid of this prompt?

    Please be informed that this is an intended behavior seen by all O365 admins. This information is for Admin password reset as well as for service communications.

    You can move away from the page by clicking "cancel", click on the "admin" tile or by navigating back to the admin page via the link here portal.office.com/.../default.aspx.

    Do take note on the potential risk if you are a single admin or you may missed out from any service communication if the information is not updated.

    @Mad Dad, please have a look at the information below that could address your concern.

    Disable self service password reset in your organization. Your admin will still get the prompt but this address your concern on admin self service password reset for admin who left the org.

    Also, if clicking "cancel" keeps you in a loop, let's try the other 2 options i have shared earlier.

    Having this option doesn't make sense for an enterprise using Active directory.  We don't want other admins to be able to reset their password using a personal email or phone, so we have it turned off.  Why should it then propmpt every time to setup an alternative authentication method, it doesn't make sense.  In any enterprise if an administrator forgets their password, they can get another domain admin to reset it.

    Chee - I know you're doing your job but please don't waste any more of our time by passing along  suggestions telling us what to try - we shouldn't have to do anything and all your efforts should be focused on getting this obvious bug escalated to someone who can fix it.. Based on the varied responses here, this is clearly NOT by design or if it is, it's a poor design even by Msft's questionable standards.
