Stop the "don't lose access to your account" nonsense.

Bump. Still no option to turn this off. Having to click Cancel on every sign in for the 60+ companies we support with Office 365 is getting tiring. Please listen to your enterprise admins here and provide us an option to turn this broken "feature" off.

I will never provide my personal information to Microsoft. It stinks of data-gathering for commercial purposes.

This is turned off through Azure.

Chee - I know you're doing your job but please don't waste any more of our time by passing along  suggestions telling us what to try - we shouldn't have to do anything and all your efforts should be focused on getting this obvious bug escalated to someone who can fix it.. Based on the varied responses here, this is clearly NOT by design or if it is, it's a poor design even by Msft's questionable standards.

Having this option doesn't make sense for an enterprise using Active directory.  We don't want other admins to be able to reset their password using a personal email or phone, so we have it turned off.  Why should it then propmpt every time to setup an alternative authentication method, it doesn't make sense.  In any enterprise if an administrator forgets their password, they can get another domain admin to reset it.
