"Quick Fixes" are update to Windows or Office applications that are still in development. They have not been released to the general public because they have not been fully tested yet. They will be released at some indeterminate time in the future.
That is encouraging, there may be a general fix for the future in the foreseeable future.
With MSI installations you could run OffCat to identify potential quick fixes that have been partially released.
