Office 2016 keeps reverting color theme back to Colorful

I installed Office 2016 as an upgrade to 2013.  Put the color scheme on grey (because annoyingly the awesome Black went away sometime in the preview.)

Now I have a weird issue where every time I close all of the 2016 applications and then reopen one of the applications, the theme has changed from grey to colorful.  This applies to reboots or just closing them all and then later opening one back up.  Oddly as well today (10/5/2015) I walked away from the computer to talk to a co-worker in the next office.  When I came back, it was on colorful again.  However that is the only time it has changed itself while open.

It seems to work correctly when it is set to Grey.  So for instance, say I open Outlook and change the theme to Grey.  When I open Word or Excel, they are also Grey as they should be.

So I'm just throwing that out there as a potential bug

Add me to the list of people seeing this.  It is INCREDIBLY annoying, since I have a hard time visually with the colorful theme.  Really hoping MS can fix it!

    Office 365 Business version 1705 (Build 8201-2102 Click-to-Run)

Windows 10 Pro version 1703, OS Build 15063-413

Agonizingly slow response to this from MS? It only happens on some computers so it is computer specific for sure. My home computer (Win 10 Home Edition) has the problem. My office computer (Windows 10 Pro) is fine.

Every time I open Outlook or close it and open a different profile (I have 3) it changes back to that Blue and white theme. Can it really be that complicated to fix this? Seems like it must be something MS changed in a recent update.

Same problem. Version 1704 (Build 8067.2115 Click-to-Run). Apps say all updates have been applied. Single user on single laptop, no network, no other users. Please fix!

I just upgraded to Office 2016 and the FIRST thing I did was try to find a means to change the Theme. I finally had to search Google for a while to find File/Office Account as the 'New' hidden location for Themes. Three Themes? No Customizing? No Downloadable Themes? No Styles?

And then I discovered once I changed the theme in Outlook so I could read my Email, All office Products have the same Theme.

This is sad to say the least.

This was Office 2016 installed locally NOT 365.
