We are aware of this problem and will release a fix in an upcoming update. Here are 2 workarounds that have been successful for other Community members. In Win 10, Right-click on the Start button and choose Run type %userprofile% into the Run box and click OK to open your local profile folder Double-click the OneDrive folder When you get prompted to allow access, click to allow access. OR In Win 10, Right-click on the Start button and choose Command Prompt (Admin) Click Yes to the User Account Control prompt In the command prompt, type the following command: cd %userprofile% press Enter on your keyboard 4. In the command prompt, type the following command: cd OneDrive press Enter on your keyboard 5. In the command prompt, type the following command: icacls %userprofile%\OneDrive /inheritance:e (where %userprofile%\OneDrive is the location of the folder you want to fix) press Enter on your keyboard If these methods do not work, OneDrive files can still be accessed from different locations, including phone, tablet and online. Any single file from the OneDrive folder can be copied and pasted onto the desktop and opened from there.

came here to seek a way to fix the problems and looks like i will never found the right answer to my problems. love the windows 10 which is for me better than windows 8 but when this problem occur, i think i need to think about reinstall back to windows 7. i need ms office to do my job. word can be open, can type on it but when it came to save it...nothing happen. same thing goes to excel. dear microsoft, do we need to buy office 365 to be able to use it properly..?

I pretty much doubt that anyone is going to post a file on here for everyone to look at. If you are a Microsoft Employee perhaps you should post a link. I see you are a expert in excel....good luck.

I get angry everyday that windows 10 has changed something. Now I can no longer access my business files on my external hard drive. I do not want to put all my confidential files on onedrive. I am so over windows 10 and it making unnecessary changes and making my computer almost extinct, what gives them the right to take my access to my files away. Should that not be an invasion of privacy??

I have no hope. Probably this may be Microsoft's transition plan- phasing in towards OneDrive. It looks like they just don't care. Lesson learned; one can get nothing for free ! But it isn't free is it? I pay for this and it is unusable. Clearly MS do not care. Eight months and no fix?
