OK Everyone, I have been following this message board for several months now, since finding it while searching for resolutions regarding my Office and Windows 10.
My ultimate solution was to retrograde back to Windows 7 Pro. I had some hickups, but essentially this resolved my problems.
For all those students and businesses out there, I can certainly relate to the criticality of your situation (my daughter is in college and has suffered through computer crashes - surprisingly enough with Windows 8, Hmm, go figure - and I can't imagine suddenly losing access to my business / tax / financial records.
All I can say is RETROGRADE back to Windows 7!
I WILL NOT UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10 UNTIL/IF THIS IS FIXED, OR AM FORCED TO IN SEVERAL YEARS WHEN WIN7 IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED.
I did like the idea of calling your local news station and complaining to the "problem solver" if your station has one.
I happen to live near Seattle, home to Mr. Gates' empire, and there is a Problem Solver on the local news station, so I plan to contact him and see if he can help put a spotlight on this.
Jessie Jones! Time will tell.
Good luck everyone. Just remember, RETROGRADE!
