A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
I have some files that open and some that don't. Some in "read only" and some I can alter. No one at Microsoft seems to have an answer. Good luck.

We are aware of this problem and will release a fix in an upcoming update. Here are 2 workarounds that have been successful for other Community members.
In Win 10, Right-click on the Start button and choose Run
cd %userprofile%
press Enter on your keyboard 4. In the command prompt, type the following command:
cd OneDrive
press Enter on your keyboard 5. In the command prompt, type the following command:
icacls %userprofile%\OneDrive /inheritance:e
(where %userprofile%\OneDrive is the location of the folder you want to fix)
press Enter on your keyboard
If these methods do not work, OneDrive files can still be accessed from different locations, including phone, tablet and online. Any single file from the OneDrive folder can be copied and pasted onto the desktop
and opened from there.

I really don't understand the whole affair. I have these Microsoft products, Windows 10 and Windows 2007 office and THEY DON'T WORK TOGETHER. I cannot open excel and word files, keeps saying "not responding" - nothing seems to work. I do not want to use OneDrive and I do not understand how this affects me trying to open these files. I run a small business - what am I meant to do?
Can someone please tell me WHEN is the mighty Microsoft going to get its act together and provide a proper fix for this. The first comment on this subject was in August and still no FIX?
(I also use BT yahoo mail and I have problems with Microsoft Edge with this - I can't type an email because it keeps autosaving, so I use Firefox. Also I do not seem to be able to save and rename pdf files).
I have to submit my tax return by the end of this month - do you think HMRC will accept problems with Microsoft software as a reason for lateness
Can you please let everyone know if your issues have been resolved? I see people are still having the same issues right up until the end of Dec 2015 (page 11 of this forum). Reading people's experiences on this forum has been horrifying. I will not upgrade to Windows 10 until I feel more confident bugs like this have been resolved and suggest others wait too. or buy a MAC.
