Maxwell,
Why do you want us to use OneDrive. We just want to keep our files wherever we want; Do you have a fix for this .... after all these months waiting

We are aware of this problem and will release a fix in an upcoming update. Here are 2 workarounds that have been successful for other Community members.
In Win 10, Right-click on the Start button and choose Run
cd %userprofile%
press Enter on your keyboard 4. In the command prompt, type the following command:
cd OneDrive
press Enter on your keyboard 5. In the command prompt, type the following command:
icacls %userprofile%\OneDrive /inheritance:e
(where %userprofile%\OneDrive is the location of the folder you want to fix)
press Enter on your keyboard
If these methods do not work, OneDrive files can still be accessed from different locations, including phone, tablet and online. Any single file from the OneDrive folder can be copied and pasted onto the desktop
and opened from there.

I suppose the solution that worked for many, is uninstall this version and reinstall the older version. It is quite surprising that Microsoft is keeping quite on the overwhelming volume of complaints. I don't think they cannot find a fix for this; they just do not want to...!
So what happens when none of these work and using another "location" isn't an option?? I had hundreds of important documents that I can never access on MY computer ever again! This is ****! This update was senseless, inconvenient, and most of all unnecessary. If there is a way to undo this update please let me know.
I have no hope. Probably this may be Microsoft's transition plan- phasing in towards OneDrive. It looks like they just don't care. Lesson learned; one can get nothing for free!
But it isn't free is it? I pay for this and it is unusable. Clearly MS do not care. Eight months and no fix?
I get angry everyday that windows 10 has changed something. Now I can no longer access my business files on my external hard drive. I do not want to put all my confidential files on onedrive. I am so over windows 10 and it making unnecessary changes and making my computer almost extinct, what gives them the right to take my access to my files away. Should that not be an invasion of privacy??
