We are aware of this problem and will release a fix in an upcoming update. Here are 2 workarounds that have been successful for other Community members. In Win 10, Right-click on the Start button and choose Run type %userprofile% into the Run box and click OK to open your local profile folder Double-click the OneDrive folder When you get prompted to allow access, click to allow access. OR In Win 10, Right-click on the Start button and choose Command Prompt (Admin) Click Yes to the User Account Control prompt In the command prompt, type the following command: cd %userprofile% press Enter on your keyboard 4. In the command prompt, type the following command: cd OneDrive press Enter on your keyboard 5. In the command prompt, type the following command: icacls %userprofile%\OneDrive /inheritance:e (where %userprofile%\OneDrive is the location of the folder you want to fix) press Enter on your keyboard If these methods do not work, OneDrive files can still be accessed from different locations, including phone, tablet and online. Any single file from the OneDrive folder can be copied and pasted onto the desktop and opened from there.

Its worse then you think- MS word 2013 won't even 'saveas' a PDF -part of its own internal print options and they tell - I can not produce documents- I'm toast- the work around did not work for me. It will not find an HP printer on a USB connection, Therefore I can;t do it old style and mail something. I am literally going out of business- My Autocad won't even save to a pdf or print. It to freezes up when saving just as the MS word 2013 - I spent several hours with MS support doing an uninstall and reinstall- they then declared I needed to update my other software....

They operate 8 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week. The above link also includes the option for you to click on 'This site in other countries/regions'. Before I rang the above number that number I used the following link: https://partner.support.services.microsoft.com/en-us/contact/menu/software/windows/ts/ Click on 'Schedule a call', where you can provide your phone number and the best time to be called. This help desk which is in the USA, provides help to callers from the USA and internationally. Nevertheless, when I told them I was ringing from Australia, they connected me to the Australian help desk which was closed. So I tracked down that telephone number (the first link I provided above) by searching on the internet. I hope you are able to get your problem solved.

I had the same problem. After tearing my hair out trying to fix it using the online Community and Microsoft 10 FAQs, I rang the Microsoft Help Desk. They were able to fix it, but only because I had my Microsoft Office Product Key. (If I hadn't had that, a purchase receipt for Microsoft Office may have been able to solve the problem). I agree it is a MAJOR ISSUE. I now have an extremely negative view of Microsoft.

After upgrading to Windows 10, I can't open any files from Microsoft Office 2013: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access. The applications very briefly flash on then close. The fixes listed do not work (such as %userprofile%). This is a MAJOR ISSUE. Please advise how to fix it.
