Step 6. Where is this folder called "User profile folder"?
I upgraded to 2010 about 3 or 4 weeks ago.
Everything was working nicely including Office , word, excel outlook etc. I had Office 2010 Professional in windows 7 before the upgrade.
I had a subscription Office 365 for one household. Everyone was using it except me. I decided to install it and see what it is like.
Everything I use is still working nicely for several days. I have not used any Office 365 App yet. Too busy to put in the learn new time.
Tonight I find it is not.
3 days after office 365 install. I am using Outlook 2010. It shows me my INBOX then crashes. No explanation just says has encountered a problem and is closing. I reboot. I try again. At one point I see a pop up that says it is not happy with olmapi32.dll.
One of my googles says "have you got 2 versions of Office Installed if so uninstall the oldest one" OK I thing "You have to move on and use Office 365" I uninstall Office starter that came with this 2012 laptop and I uninstall Office 2010 Professional. I
try outlook 2016 which office 365 install installed. It does the same thing. HMM I thin. This has started happening since I logged in to my Microsoft account and took a look at OneDrive storage. I follow the above advice. I try word 2016, excel 2016 etc
they all crash as soon as I try to open anything from a PC folder or one drive. Now I have no Outlook, no word, no excel my laptop can only be used for browsers.
I do not know what to do.
Can I roll back to windows 7?
I have uninstalled and reinstalled this subscription Office 365. I still cannot use any Office 365 App.
I actually liked Windows 10 so I prefer getting an Office Version to work in Windows 10.
I have spent an evening googling and trying this and that.
I have to say that I really want any version of outlook, word and excel working in windows 10.
I have install CD's for Office 2010 professional so I can try Uninstall office 365 then install windows 2010 professional again. But I see other advice that says make sure you have Office installed before you Upgrade to windows 10.
Can I roll back to a windows 10 check point that was before I installed office 365 (last Saturday or Sunday?) I could do this in windows 7.
I guess I am going to have to use webmail and pages, numbers, keynotes in my ipad after emailing my laptop files to myself to get onto the ipad. OR put all documents onto an external drive and use Work Windows 7 PC with Office 2013. ipad is ipad2 and has
not enough storage space left. Although this is a 2012 laptop it is Core I7 with heaps of memory. I LOVED IT UNTIL NOW.
This might be the end of my windows Laptop I will have to get an apple MAC?
Never expected this craziness in beautiful modern windows 2010.
Was it OneDrive, Windows Update or what that wreaked office 2010? I was happily working away for several days after I installed subscription Office 365. Why do no Office 365 APPS work at all??
Lets see if those Office 2010 install CD's work in windows 10?
This whole thing is bizarre. My son is using Office 365 subscription in windows 10. His girlfriend is using it in windows 8.
TIRED and DEPRESSED.
Roll back to before Office 365 install sounds like the quickest thing for now. Are those check points I had in 2007 still there in 10, Can I remember how I used to do it??
