We are aware of this problem and will release a fix in an upcoming update. Here are 2 workarounds that have been successful for other Community members.

In Win 10, Right-click on the Start button and choose Run

  1. type %userprofile% into the Run box and click OK to open your local profile folder
  2. Double-click the OneDrive folder
  3. When you get prompted to allow access, click to allow access. OR
  4. In Win 10, Right-click on the Start button and choose Command Prompt (Admin)
  5. Click Yes to the User Account Control prompt
  6. In the command prompt, type the following command:

cd %userprofile%

press Enter on your keyboard 4. In the command prompt, type the following command:

cd OneDrive

press Enter on your keyboard 5. In the command prompt, type the following command:

icacls %userprofile%\OneDrive /inheritance:e

(where %userprofile%\OneDrive is the location of the folder you want to fix)

press Enter on your keyboard

If these methods do not work, OneDrive files can still be accessed from different locations, including phone, tablet and online. Any single file from the OneDrive folder can be copied and pasted onto the desktop

and opened from there.

    Try this:

    1. Go to "File" in whatever program you are having trouble with
    2. Click "Options" at the very bottom of the list
    3.  Click "Trust Center" at the bottom of that list
    4. Click "Trust Center Settings..." on the bottom right side
    5.  Click "Protected View" in the middle of the list on the left side
    6. Uncheck all 3 of the boxes that say "Enable protected view...(whatever the end of the statement says)"

    It worked for me :)

I found a very simple way to fix this issue. Geek Squad helped me with this.

You can always re-check the boxes if you are unhappy with this result.

I asked the Geek Squad agent if this was safe for my computer to disable these things and he said it was perfectly fine and you don't have to worry about security issues as long as you have antivirus set up!

    I hope this helps everyone!
