Dear Microsoft,

As an office user (without subscription), I'm unhappy to see that we are unable to install Office without a Microsoft Account. The same go with the lack of support for us.

Office 365 users or one-time purchase users are all people working hard on some project. We are all paying for your product. That's why we need the best support from developers and Microsoft.

Look at what Xbox did. They wanted to make everything in the cloud like Office and OneDrive, but they changed for a consumer first mentality and it's working great. The Xbox community is growing and players are very happy that developers are listening to everyone and making their best to improve the Xbox One.

Microsoft Office is going the wrong way by only supporting one part of the users paying. Customers and IT community would like the ability to install office with the key only (enter the key on the website to get a number of installation left with this key and the download link) instead of with your Microsoft Account. On your website you are mentioning 1 PC... Not 1 MS account. How many people will be surprised by that?

The one-time purchase community want all the support needed with all the continuous update to add more features to the office suite (until the next version of Office is released). We also want you to come back with the 2 devices per key, instead of only 1 PC, because a lot of families buying the one-time purchase suite or companies don't want to spend hundreds of dollar to get Microsoft Office.

With Microsoft Office, you need to work with and for the customers, but not vice-versa. Office is not just an Apple you buy in a supermarket, its a service, so you need to respect that.

Talking about Adobe CC, did you hear about Affinity Photo?

Its a one time purchase alternative only for mac (maybe coming on PC at the end of the year) and that' à what them are saying :

For commercial individual use you can install it in two computers.

On a home environment you can install it on up to five computers.

so why Office doesnt take example on that? They have enough money to live without selling Office for years...

I would like to make my key work at least on two computer.

Has anyone found a solution to this? Microsoft has created an untenable situation for us small IT consultants. My clients complain that I ship the machine to them uncompleted, yet I'm unable to complete it without setting up a Microsoft account (which most of them don't want anyway). My clients do not want to do their own IT work (that's why they have me) and in most cases, they aren't even administrators on their own machines! How on earth are we supposed to deal with this? I'm so angry with Microsoft at this point that if there were any viable alternative I would start switching my clients over to it immediately.

The best solution someone else came up with that I am now using is to create an account with the unique service codes that come with most computers with a generic password.  I use only Dell so it is pretty uniform and using the same password on all systems I don't have to keep track of them.  If I have to redo something, the service tag convention will always give me access to the correct account coorisponding the the exact system I am working on.  Hope this helps.  Again, this was another solution down in this feed that I started using.

Maybe I put too much (10) for Professional, but I see it for enterprises who don't want to buy 40 Office suites.
