When logging into https://portal.office.com it says "connected to windows"

When I navigate to https://portal.office.com, and try to login, the initial screen says "connected to Windows". When I attempt to click on my username, it does nothing. I then have to select use another account and type my username again.

I have the latest build of Windows 10 Enterprise and am using IE 11, with automatic logon only in intranet zone enabled.

    Hi Derek,

    For your scenario, please help to check if you log into Windows Store and the account login used for Windows Store has the same username as the one for Office 365. If so, please login out of Windows Store, and then access office 365 portal again. 

    You may use it or accessing the Office 365 portal in InPrivate browsing as workarounds. Meanwhile, for further investigation, we've sent you a private message to collect some additional information. You can access the private message via https://community.office365.com/en-us/user/conversations.

    You can try to login in with different browsers and you can also use incognito mode. That can probably solve the issue.

    Thanks MP....That is indeed a workaround but can never be said to resolve the issue, the issue remains - in my opinion this issue is not related to anything but the way the portal sign-in is handling cookies. As soon as you break that by using another browser session or incognito the correct signin behaviour occurs. Fix it O365 team.
