When I navigate to https://portal.office.com, and try to login, the initial screen says "connected to Windows". When I attempt to click on my username, it does nothing. I then have to select use another account and type my username again.

I have the latest build of Windows 10 Enterprise and am using IE 11, with automatic logon only in intranet zone enabled.

The fix for me was to go to Settings > Accounts and remove my 'work or school account' from the list accounts at the bottom.  Not really sure what the benefit was to add my work account to the computer, but it seemed like a reasonable idea at the time.

    I have the same issue,

    Windows 10  with latest updates

    Edge browser

Machine not linked to a domain (azure or on premises)

Seems to happen when I have been logged into portal earlier in the day, and then go back to login again.

One Workaround is to open a private browsing window and login from there.
