I cannot get Excel 2016 to open and run a file by clicking on the file from File Explorer. Is there a bug?

The issue got solved by an online repair from the Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

Hope it helps to others

    Morning,

When I Right Clicked on the XLSX Document, the drop down box does not contain Excel.

Even when I clicked on the Browse button I could not find an Excel program to link it to.

    Completely Stuck.

I have to go into Excel and then open the document.

    Hi Vijay,

This fix works, however.. it's becoming tiresome to have to do this to EVERY installation within my business. I'm upgrading users from 2010 to 2016.. every installation I do, I have to finalise the install, ask the user to sign in to check out a license from their E3 and then do a repair install. This increases the installation time by atleast 10-15 minutes. Can you please put this on the bug tracking list?!

    Thanks,

    Jake
