YES, Office 2007 is compatible with Windows 10, I suggest you to follow the link Compatibility centerand check if it helps.

However, you may upgrade to the latest Office version.

Which versions of Microsoft Office work on Windows 10?

The following versions of Microsoft Office with the latest Service Packs have been confirmed to be compatible with Windows 10:

Office 2016 Preview
Office 2013/Office 365
Office 2010
Office 2007

Older versions of Office such as Office 2003 and Office XP are not certified compatible with Windows 10 but might work using compatibility mode.

It's true that Office 2007 end of life was October 9, 2012, but I'll quote this, from Which versions of Office work with Windows 10?, which is an official Microsoft web page:

"Office 2007 (Version 12) is no longer part of mainstream support and hasn't been tested on Windows 10. However, Office 2007 will install and run on Windows 10."

So, I'm not sure your ISP is accurate.

Thanks Brian for this. I read that also and it was part of the reason I decided to switch to Win 10, but the Microsoft Technician I talked to yesterday said there were problems and recommended the upgrade. I pointed out the inconsistency but he said he couldn't do anything about it. As I'm a computer user and not a technician I felt in a bind and decided to go with the upgrade. Not a happy chappie!

I've been having problems with my Office 2007 since the Windows 10 update that took place this past February.

All the icons of my office files went blank (they are completely white and don't show the "W" of Word an the "X" of Excel). But what is worse is that part of the files have been deleted. The files are still there, but a big chunk of text is missing from my Word files. Also when I go under "properties" the "creation date" and the "last saved date" do not correspond to the actual dates when I created and last saved the documents.

Today I went to a local Microsoft store and I was told that the February update is not compatible with Office 2007. The customer service representative convinced me to upgrade my computer to Office 365, and told me that the files were not corrupted and no deletion took place, but I am 100% sure that those files are not the way they are supposed to be. He also told me that during the February update the files were rewritten by the update itself, so I wonder whether during that February update something went wrong.

Does anybody have an idea of what went wrong and how I can recover the missing information? The files I'm talking about are travel journals from 2 years ago, and there is no way that I can recreate them relying exclusively on my memory.

Help please!
