YES, Office 2007 is compatible with Windows 10, I suggest you to follow the link Compatibility centerand check if it helps.

However, you may upgrade to the latest Office version.

Which versions of Microsoft Office work on Windows 10?

The following versions of Microsoft Office with the latest Service Packs have been confirmed to be compatible with Windows 10:

Older versions of Office such as Office 2003 and Office XP are not certified compatible with Windows 10 but might work using compatibility mode.

    More details about what needs to be configured when launching or do you mean when the system does an upgrade? as I haven't seen any issues when I launch the program, I have seen changes when the Windows 10 does an upgrade. now I've seen people posting that in build 14915 that when doing some math calculations that it crashes myself haven't tested that, but we have to remember this is why it's called preview testing.

    If Windows 10 and Office 2007 are compatible, why do Word and Excel have to be  Configured every time the programs are launched. Tell me that this is not an intentional effort to force office upgrades.

    I made a clean install of my windows 10 Pro and then installed office 2007.  When I updated and after checking,  I did receive some security and other updates to my 2007 version and it's not that what you are saying we don't get any updates at all.  If possible try to clean install your Windows 10 and office 2007.
