Hi Vidyaranjan,

If you receive this error when trying to install Office 365 Home Premium/University:

“Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help. Error code 30088-4”

Use this article to remove Office and then try installing it again.

    You are too good!!!!

Microsoft could not or would not provide support.  Your trick worked perfectly.  It is now activated.

I note that there were 23 pages on this forum two days ago.  Now it is down to ten and my postings are gone.  I think Microsoft is not being very open with people.

Microsoft REALLY knows how to provide wretched customer support.

The on-line chat system does not work during support hours.  For support you must request a phone call.  The fields with my name are filled in.  The field for the phone number is blank and it is not possible to enter data there.

One Help screen I found for Office 365 advises that 0ffice 2013 can only be installed on one computer.  I  have Office 365 but their help is for 2013.

There are no phone numbers listed for activation assistance.  There is no decent on-line help.  The product does not work on my laptop but it does on my desktop.  Adding insult to injury, I received a welcome e-mail reminding me to install my product and telling me how easy it is.

If the forum has no answers and the Website has no answers and there are no humans to help out, I guess I may have to post a query on FaceBook.  I suspect there will be a lot of people interested in the problem, some of whom may be able to help.  Microsoft certainly does not seem able to.

My apologies for merely being a customer and paying you money.
