A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Jennifer,
"Yes, I know they aren't images. I think that's what I said."
Actually you said that they were images several times. You said:
"I just discovered another way to insert images into a .docx document ..."
"First, let's insert an image from Excel:"
"Click OK. The image should be visible in the document just like is it ..."
"Select the image. It will have square black handles."
"Press Ctrl+Shift+F9 to convert the image from an Excel object to a plain image ..., but the image should remain visible in both Normal and Page mode.
"This capability is ended when they are converted to a plain image using Ctrl+Shift+F9"
but most importantly you said:
"It is clearly not true that images cannot be displayed in Normal view."
It is true that you have discovered for yourself some useful features of OLE, but you have not discovered a new way to insert images into a .docx document and unless you want to believe that any visual representation of data in Draft veiw is an "image" then it remains true that images cannot be displayed in Draft view.
CTRL+SHIFT+F9 does not convert and OLE object into a plain image. CTRL+SHIFT+F9 breaks the hyperlink. Basically your object linked and embedded is now just an object embedded.
