Office 2013 missing after June 11 Microsoft auto upates

A great tech named Marianne just fixed mine, She has to scan and remove corrupt files, then remove all traces in the registry, then reinstall, and turn off updates. I sure appreciate her help, as I could never have done all that by myself.

I tried this method, but I am still getting the following:

"Something went wrong

We're sorry, but we are unable to start your program.

Please ensure it is not disabled by the system

Go online for additional help.

Error Code: 30145-4"

I have tried everything I can think of:

1. Repair quick and online, no avail
2. Uninstall, error, cannot uninstall
3. Reinstall over existing, error
4. 1.5 hours on phone with MS before I had to leave for meeting, they couldn't get it to work
5. System restore to 6/11/2014, still error
6. Norton Registry cleaner/fixer, still error
7. Method above, still error

Ideas?  It seems absolutely absurd that I cannot just uninstall it!

Have you used Microsoft's Office cleanup utility to get rid of all traces of Office? It worked for me. That does not mean it will for you, but it might. If you want the exact one I used, I can provide a link to it in my next message. Just let me know.

** EDIT ** I guess I should have said this to begin with and I am sorry I didn't, but the Fixit utility link I posted above that I used, is the same one that is being posted in all the messages telling everyone the steps to take to fix this problem. It is the same one from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501. I just didn't remember the link and was too lazy to go find it so I just posted the utility up and put a link to it. It is the same one as that article points to and it worked for me. I hope it does for you too. Thanks goes out to all those of you who remembered the original link. That is how I remembered where I got it and was able to post this.

Yeah, most of us here knew how to fix it from day one. Once word got around about pretty much everything said in this community, you started seeing everyone popping up with "the answer". But either way it is just a temp fix until the hard fix comes out and thus the need to keep Office updates turned off. I was told on the phone that a hard fix was expected in about a week or so, but from some things I read in this forum, it seems that it could be a lot longer than that. But at least we know how to keep it running now until the fix is out.
